Why does the oil light on my 94 Honda accord keep blinking?

It has plenty of oil in it, I'm using 5W30 oil. I want to know if it's a sensor going bad or the oil pump going bad.

I want to know what the blinking means.

4 cylinder engine. Why does the oil light on my 94 Honda accord keep blinking?
its because its a 94 honda. there is always one thing or another going ';wrong.'; either it will fix itself or u really do need to change the oil.Why does the oil light on my 94 Honda accord keep blinking?
It's a 14 year old car with super thin oil. Try 10W40. It's a Japanese disease, but often the screen on the oil pump clogs. Maybe a guart of Marvel Mystery Oil will do it.
it means change your oil within 30 miles.
Have your oil sending unit checked. Step up your oil weight to 10W30 because the car is now 13 years old.
oil pump would be the best bet...take it to a person who has a machine to put it on th verify what it is to be sure!!
If the light blinking is red, it is refering to oil pressure being low. This can be caused by general engine wear on the bearings increasing the clearances and allow the oil to flow too freely or by a failing oil pump. You can have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical guage to obtain the actual readings to rule out a faulty sensor or you can add a bottle of lucas oil stabilizer in the place of one quart of oil and if the light stops flickering you know the cause is mechanical.
Have it checked by a professional. They can hook it up to a scanner which will read a trouble code and alert what the problem is. The code reader can also clear any sensor glitches. It can also be your oil pump if you say there is plenty of oil. Make sure you check the dipstick before you turn the car on.
prob need oilll
