I want to put gold leaf in a pendant vial and fill the vial with oil so that the gold ';Floats'; in the oil. What oil is best for this application?What type of oil do you use in a pendant vial?
After some research, I found that what is sometimes used is a combination of alcohol and glycerin, although I was not able to find the ratio of these substances. You could try a light mineral oil, but even that may be too thick.
